The scale is established from a reliable stated dimension when possible and documented. If no reliable calibration exists, the affected sheet is flagged for clarification rather than measured from an unsupported assumption.

Are specifications reviewed with the drawings?

Yes, when specifications are provided. They can define materials, assemblies, thicknesses, accessories, execution requirements and scope not obvious from plan graphics alone.

How are inclusions and exclusions documented?

The deliverable identifies measured scope, excluded work, allowances and assumptions so the client can align the takeoff with its bid responsibility.

Can addenda be incorporated?

Yes. The addendum, affected sheets and resulting quantity changes are tracked when addenda review is included in the agreed scope.

Is takeoff work fully automated by software?
